FOOTBALL BANQUET The fourteenth annual football banquet was held November 18 in the Salem High School cafeteria The speaker of the evening was Mr. Jack Prowell, sports editor of the Champaign-Urbana News-Gazette. He spoke on sports, particularly the University of Illinois teams. Thirty-seven boys received their letters. of whom twenty were seniors. The seniors receiving their letters were Winston Tate, Butch Newport. Bob Stuber. Jack Woods, Richard Garner, Bill Parkinson. Danny Bump. Frank Brinkerhoff, John Sweet, Jim Van Horn. J, D. Hargis, Art Wallace. Ed Bigelow. Joe Black. Robin Satterthwaite. Tom Glenn. Tom Qualls. Lewis Morton, Ed Boyd. and Harold Morton. Bob Scoles acted as master of ceremonies for the evening.
