S A Council, lumnae Combined in Fun, Work .. New faces, new policies, new problems confront parents and teachers at the beginning of a new school year. To face these problems squarely and work toward solutions mean effort by both. This united effort is productive if well planned. Three times yearly the group convenes and adopts policies and sets standards. A new venture this year by the St. Ursula Academy Council was the sponsoring of monthly record hops. The proceeds were used to pur- chase drapes to darken the auditorium for the show- ing of movies and other performances. The Council also sponsors a graduation dance for each class on the night of commencement at a hotel ballroom. St. Ursula Academy Council president, Dr. James Hannon, seated, found it necessary for reasons of ill-health to resign. Vice president Harold Neumann, then assumed the office. Ferd Neuhausel become vice president, Mrs. John Smythe, secretary: and linsetl Mrs. Edward McKeown, treasurer, for the current term. 12 .6-.il - ..c' '. l 1 L'-sfifffv--l gffji e f A- Se.g:E.f1,3.Q 3 - , .V ..,.,i rl .iv 1-. ,..
