Brenda Bertram, Sharen Wendt, and Linda Jantz burst forth with song and showed their singing ability to Queen Carole and King Duane. Marion Knea, Miriam Braun, and Karen Mickelsen, accom- panied by Barb Mickelsen composed a vocal group which did a few selections at the Variety Show. Aff' M QW' Variety Show Young Ja Lee, our student from Korea, Performed a graceful dnnce of her native country for us Thursday evening. Folk songs heightened the evening when newly crowned King Duane and Maggie Dreyer joined with Sandy .Tantz and Loren Odenwald at the guitar. Miriam Braun entertained the King and Queen with her portrayal of a little boy get- ting ready for his bath. 49

Black was the night, and happy were the students of SPL after the second annual Homecoming game. The bonfire was a warm welcome in the chill night air. S ill echoing in our ears were the sounds of the game, Laughter. . . cheering. . . yelling . . . screaming. The whistle blew, the noise is deafening in our ears. VICTORY FOR SPL!!
