Leadership, service, schol- arship and character are the words that represent the whole idea of the National Honor Society. Members are carefully chosen, and require ments are tough. Only 14 members made up '72's membership. Diane Ross, president, thought the club's size helped efficiency, and that members could feel a greater sense of unity. NHS offers a few advan- tages. Membership makes a student's record look good, and members may leave any class to do other work, if the teacher doesn't object. Quill And Scroll This year's Quill and Scroll members are from L to R: Ienny McCarty, Pat Baker, Annette Revallion. Diane Ross reads the vows to new Lights flickered on November 14 as six new members were ini- tiated into Quill and Scroll in a candlelight ceremony. All were presented with club pins and cards. Then officers were elected. The new president was Sarah Dout- hat, Vice-president, Sue Butler, Treasurer, Kathy Mannhard, and Secretary, Ienriy McCarty. fAll helped in a year ot club sales, publication deadlines and meetings tor both.j Quill and Scroll is a national society for students outstanding in journalism and related tields.
