Representatives work for a better school Above: Mr. Brader advises the student body officers. Below: The student council ponders over the dress code. An active student council, re¬ sponsive to the needs and wants of its student body, maintains the balance of power between stu¬ dents and administration. SCHS ' s student council demonstrated its activity by planning the Home¬ coming and Sweetheart dances, conducting all school elections, and selling popcorn at home foot¬ ball and basketball games. The council ' s involvement is shown in its persistent attempts to find a fair and practical solution to the dress code problem. Council members had to sacrifice time and effort and often personal wants to serve their student body. The junior class is responsible for the planning of the junior-senior prom.
