The beginning of the 1982 Spirit Week saw girls in skirts and bobby socks, and boys in letter sweaters; spunky 60's costumes. A school mass was held on Wednesday of the week as a spirit strengthener for upperclassmen and faculty and a welcome for freshmen. Thursday was the traditional Bedan Spirit Day. Though revised and modified since the mudhole days, it still includes the favorites: the auction, volleyball and softball games, tug-of-wars, Simon Says, and good, clean (?) Bruin fun.
