The sprints were led by Kristy Williams and Kristi Jen- kins, the 46D by Julie Moore and Chris Horan and distance by Pam North and Cheri Church. Tammy Goddard and Trish Merrill proved once again to be the top hurdlers. Sheryl Ouiring. 2 All photos by M Kullk Teams show exceptional talent. ahuaro 's girls ' basketball teams for the i982-83 season had some exceptional talent in both their junior varsity and varsity lev- el. The coach for the girls varsity team was Jim Higgins: Betty John- son coached the varsity level. Both coaches had high opinions of their teams' potential at the start of the year. Coach Johnson was SPOR TS quoted as saying that the outcome of the year should be good. There are experienced players returning in height and ball handling. All ha ve shooting ability. Coach Higgins commented at the beginning of the year that the junior varsity team is a very young team. Progress is slow but improvement is along the way. ll-'IJ .:J -
