Success of individual players was the goal Coach Eustice set for his team, and said that team success was the way to achieve it. The top competitors in the North League other than Sahuaro were CDO, Rin- con, Sabino, and Sahwointe. The squad 's strongest area was the defense up the middle, accentuat- ed by the fielding range of short- stop Rodney Peete. The weakest part of the ball club was it 's young pitching staff Assistant Coach Danny Roma, a former pitcher and graduate of Sahuaro, was hopeful in improving this.
