High goals and determination. he boys swim team set high goals this year and that meant lots of hard work. The team prac- ticed two times a day working on their skill and style. Having the right state of mind was particularly important to swim- ming. Since the workouts were dif- ficult and monotonous, a swimmer had to be dedicated. The boys showed an exceptional attitude. There was the talents of Joe Barr, Doug and Craig Janes. lan Lewis. Steve Fredericks, and Tim Heiman I. Off the blocks in a hurry. 2. Doug McCoy's friendly smile. 3. Carmine Tilgh- man's JV2 dive. 4. Where is the water? O spok rs to hehr out the team. The divers worked out with just as much enthusiasm. they worked on perfecting skill and technique in their graceful sport. Fellow diver Carmine Tilghman helped in more ways than one. Besides placing first in every meet, Carmine also coached the other team members and helped them perfect their dives.
