's'w.-,. 41 Teamwork is the key to Winnin . his year Cougar pride soared high when the varsity football team went roaring onto the field. The team was considered rather young, but made up for it with plen- ty of talent and spirit. Teamwork and intensity were key words in the success of the Cougar football team. A superb offense propelled the Cougars to the top of their ability. Quarterback Rodney Peete was SPOR TS 000 U one of the leading passers in the city. His receivers, Louis Schuette and Craig Reeves were among the best in their speciality. The Cou- gars were good in the air but also had much talent in their backfield. Other good offensive players were Darryl Rice and Mike Sarabia. The team also had alot of experience on their defensive squad. With such players as Scott Stone and Martin Tetreault. With their combination of spirit, talent and intensity the Cougars were on their way to a triumphant season. Louis Schuette, Darin Fila. I. The Cougar offense marches off the field after a victorious touchdown. 2. Charging furiously at an opponent is de- fensive tackle, Scott Stone. 3. Junior quarterback, Rodney Peete gets ready to launch a pass. 4. Making a diving attempt to catch a pass is Senior Louis Schuette. 5. The awesome Cougar de- fense lunges forward in an attempt to block a kick. 6. Steading, himself, Scott Kerr watches for a possible pass inter- ception. 7.
