Such things as typ- ing and shorthand are necessary in most jobs and just basically good skills to know for everyday use. Record keeping and ac- counting are very hehaful in bal- ancing and keeping up with one 's financial situation. Ex- ploratory business, business communications and data pro- cessing were other courses that hehved prepare students for the business world. Auto, Drafting, Electronics, Graphic Arts, Photo, Printing, Welding and Woodworking were most of the courses one could take in the Industrial Depart- ment. These courses weren't just open to guys either. A lot of girls took interest in such classes. Some of these courses were divided up into more de- tailed courses such as mechani- cal drawing and architectural drawing. I. Mrs. Tolle helps Da vid Humphreys. 2. The gruesome movies in Drivers Ed. hehwed to shock the students into realizing the seriousness of driving and the emphatic teaching of Mr. McConneI helped to drive the point home. The heavy workload in Health was more than many students expected but it was worth it. They studied subjects from mental health to sex education. I.
