Sahuaro High School presents. . . he Sahuaro High School Or- chestra was kept very busy this year. They started out the year with the choir in October. ln November they participated in a concert which included three oth- er high schools in Tucson. Sabino, Santa Rita, and Palo Verde. In December, they held the Holiday Concert with the choir. They then participated in the State Solo and Ensemble Festival. The Regional Orchestra auditions were held in January. Seven of the Sahuaro students made regionals. Four of these seven also made All- state. The Allstate Orchestra Festi- val took place in the end of April. They also put on a concert with junior high and elementary stu- dents in April. The Tucson Imagina- tion Celebration was in April too. They were then invited to play in the graduation ceremony at North- ern Arizona University in Flagstaff On the way back the group took a little pleasure break. They rode down into the Grand Canyon on the mules and then hiked out. Their last concert was held during Fine Arts Week. They ended the season with our own Baccalaureate Ceremony here at Sahuaro. It sounds like it was, all in all, a very fun and satisfying year for the Orchestra members at Sa- huarol f'7 -. .. ' -lv -1 1 , . of 1. X4 il l.
