Students contribute their Writing talents nder the direction of Mrs. Garitano, the Spectrum class year has turned out their 6th issue of Spectrum, The consists of a spectrum of students' writing styles and talents. It includes poetry. prose, artwork, photography and calligraphy. The class is a year long and is avail- able for juniors and seniors who are 'QA ,,,......L . f -.ww hihlb i . 4 'gf' All photos by R. The first quarter is the study of prose writing, the second is the study of poetry, third quarter is the con- struction of Spectrum, and fourth quarter is the distribution and sales of Spectrum. Near the end of the year its members critique one an- other's work. The funds they receive are from the sales of the magazine. Spec- trum is selling this year for SACD and will consist of 60 pages. With the heh? of the advanced printers, 50.7 prints of Spectrum were dis- tributed throughout Sahuaro. I listen intently. Rx 5 A l. Laura Mordka busy at work. 2. Exciting activities got everyone involved he minute school started Stu- dent Council was ready to get he year off to a great success. The lass officers were there getting to now everyone and always ready o heb. Miss Grose the Student overnment advisor was always here to lend a hand if needed. Student Government's main goal this year was to get everyone in- volved and to promote school spir- it. They not only wanted to get the student body involved in activities that would benefit themselves but also ones that would benefit the school. Interesting activities that proved successful this year were. Spirit Week, dances, Homecoming. Floats, the Slave Sale. Powder Puff, the Senior Show, etc.. .. Some liked the chal- lenge, some liked being involved, others liked organizing and plan- ning activities. But all met and learned to relate to others bet- ter.
