Teachers were not only instructors, but, also, friends and counselors to the students. The administration plugged in and reinforced the general knowledge essential prior to graduating. Having held many duties as administrator and teacher, being the dean was a different yet good challenge to Mr. Coleman. One of his main goals was to help students help themselves. He made the students realize what they did and the consequences of each deed. Another goal was to help the students mature and retain self-discipline.
