L hess Club The purposes of the Chess Club are to provide the skill of playing chess, develop an appreciation for the game, and develop principles of self- discipline, logic and concentra- tion for a lifelong carry-over activity .

The Art Club once again participated in the Homecoming Float competition . Their float featured a prairie schooner as one means of transportation used in settling the South- west, and won a lst place trophy in the Green Valley Parade for the best entry, ages 17 and under. It prepares the person for any future job or study pertaining to agriculture. This year the F.F.A. held a pre-fair in order to get the animals 5 ready for the Pima County ' fair.
