The Sacred Heart Hospital is a general hospital of 45l beds, including 60 beds of the Tuberculosis Unit ofthe Sacred Heart Hospital, the Sacred Heart Sanatorium, Mount Trexler, Limeport, Pennsylvania, and is conducted by the Missionary Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart ot Jesus. The governing board of the hospital is the Board of Trustees. lt has been inspected and approved by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals. Within the pastitwo years the hospital has been approved by the Atomic Energy Com- mission for the use of radioactive isotopes, and the use of Cobalt-60 for the Teletherapy apparatus i600 curiesl. It is approved for a three year Residency in General Surgery, for a two years Residency in Internal Medicine, a two year Residency in Pathology and a three year Residency in Radiology, The hospital is furthermore approved by the Department of Public Instruction, Pennsyl- vania State Board of Medical Education and Licensure for the Education of lnternsg by the Department of 'Public Instruction, Pennsylvania State Board of Examiners for Registration of Nurses for the Education of Nursesg by the American Medical Association Council on Medical Education and Hospitals for the Education of Medical Technologistsg and by the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists for the Education of Nurse Anesthetists. -
