Happy days of freedom, Spent beneath the sun. Yet standing alone by the shore When the day was done. Running through the fields; Laughing at the sky; The beauty in today, Yet still some would cry. And I look into the ocean I look into the sea I look into your eyes And therein.lies the key. We dream of tomorrow Reminisce of yesterday And yet we must know When there ' s nothing left to say. That what we had yesterday As special as it was Will never again be And we change what once we loved. And as we open the book, And as we turn each page, We realize frozen youth Cannot replace wisdomed age. JUNIOR RING MASS The Junior Ring cere¬ mony was a memorable and meaningful event for all present. While the Juniors received their rings as a class they were reminded of two of life ' s necessities - friendship and goals. While working to obtain these goals we realize the importance of remaining in and working 50 as a group. When meaning¬ ful bonds are formed with co-workers the group is stronger and more likely to succeed - as are the individuals in the group. This message was imparted by Deacon Kearns to a I I of the CI ass of ’88 in the ceremony, which was followed immediately with a class dance. - 51 Julie AIsheimer Karen McGonagIe Merry NeviIle Kristin Armstrong Colleen Boucher Scott Giletti Frank Kane Mrs- Kedian 1988 Karuna MedarametI a Robin Mai er Erin McDavitt Car I a Dane Jennifer Trask Pau I Pasternak Stephen Magner Mike Burns John Hickey Leo Barry Danny O ' Leary Ron Rege 52 Jennif Chassey Liz Yektikian Ann McCaf fer+y Stephen Boutfard Mr. Ronald Bruninghaus Sean McSweeney Shawn SuI Iivan Ricky Murphy Carolyn Hatch Stacey Last Monica Young Erin SuI Iivan Kim Cunningham Maura Mu I Iigan Alicia Martino Goeffrey Levis Hoby McNerney J i mmy Gal Iagher J i mmy Duchini Mike Damon D. Looking at the faces of forensics on these pages one can see the hard work and dedication which transforms a simple story into a magical performance. 102 Another important part of forensics is the Voice of Democracy contest held each year for sophomores, juniors and seniors. Under the excellent coaching of Sr. Francesca, senior Beth Anderson won first place in the school competition with Mark Henaghen coming in second, and Christy Wilson third. Faithfully was sponsored by the class of ' 87, and because of the students ' hard work and dedication the evening went beautifuI Iy. The prom was highlighted by the impressive R.l. based band Strutt . Guest D.J. Jim Van from WHJY and hard rocking Strutt were the motivating forces behind the mass exodus onto the dance floor. The desire to just dance was contagious and by 10:30 very few patrons were stiI I seated. Those who were were catching their breath. The Sheraton ' s atmosphere and surroundings were special, the filet mignon and stuffed shrimp were palatable, and the music was as good as any prom will hear.
