SACRED HEART HIGH SCHOOL v ; - % ’ KINGSTON, MASSACHUSETTS CO-EDITORS Jeanne Hegner Kristine Kennefick LAYOUT COORDINATORS Marie Cooney Kathleen Doller Victoria Wolpert CONTENTS Introduction 1 Administration 5 Faculty pmj Seniors 13 Underclassmen 49 Activities 59 Athletics 97 Junior High 123 Behind the Scenes 151 Advertisers 157 THE ROAD NOT TAKEN Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as 1 could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that, the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I - I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference. The time for the school bus has arrived. For some the beginning of the school year is the beginning of their time at Sacred Heart. For others it is the beginning of the end. Traditions abound, the Senior - Freshman Ice Cream Party, the elec¬ tion of officers and Student Council Members, getting lost in the halls, and all that adjusting to those new schedules! The Seniors mock the Freshmen, knowing that next year they’ll be Freshmen themselves; the Juniors wish they could be Seniors because the Prom is so far away; the Sophomores are wise fools, trying to show their exprelence before the. The end of Senior year - a time of joy - for finally leaving high school and geitting Into the real world, and a time of saddness - for leaving the secure world of Sacred Heart. As Seniors say goodbye to friends and families at Baccalaureate and graduation, underclassmen have to share In this emotional time. Serving at Baccalaureate means seeing the Seniors and their parents realize that everyone is growing up and out. Ushering at graduation is seeing the Seniors leave, some become Seniors on that day, others only wish. For all, these are stops on our journey, the memories of which will help us to real Ize the closeness and familarity of Sacred Heart. B % ATHLETICS 97 VARSITY BASEBALL mT.
