Class Oi 1971 MOUSETRAP MASSACHUSETTS STATE DRAMA FESTIVAL FINALISTS A W A R D S 1 TERRY GARGAN HOKINSON Sacred Heart competed in and won in the two preliminary festivals and was a Massachusetts State Finalist at John Hancock Hall in Boston. The Massachusetts Drama Festival is jointly sponsored by the Massa¬ chusetts Drama Guild and The Boston Globe. Most of the leading high schools in Massachusetts be¬ long to the Guild. The purpose of the Massachusetts Drama Guild is to promote excellence in theatre at the high school level. Schools competing in regional festi¬ vals are required to put up their set and strike it down in five minutes. The setting and technical side of theatre is as equally important as the acting. Michael Day and David Sanford are to be particularly singled out for their ability and leadership in stage crew and technical supervision. Sister Emma Jean deserves parti¬ cular credit for her assistance and advice. The set was given lavish compliments by the judges.
