The decorations are in keeping with the theme of the season, ranging from autumn, through Christmas, the spring holiday, to the formal prom. To initiate the freshmen and new students each year the Student Council sponsors the Welcome Dance in mid-September. Enter tainment is provided by the Musikmen. The nautical theme gave the hall an atmosphere of festivity and reminiscence of summer fun The preparation and organization for the Harvest Dance was the responsibility of the officers of the high school classes. The natural decorations ranging from New Eng¬ land ' s largest pumpkins, tallest cornstalks, and best-dried hay to the old-fashioned surrey completed the harvest theme and added a note of fall gaiety to the dance. Music for the occasion was pro¬ vided by The Features from Scituate. The Christmas Dances are semi-formal. Don Shaw and his orchestra furnished the entertainment for the occasion. Graduates who attended the earlier Alumni Reunion that evening remained to enjoy the dancing and the Christmas spirit of their alma mater. Juniors, seniors, and their escorts danced to the music of Don Shaw ' s Orchestra, dined in the luxurious setting of the White Cliffs ' dining room, and enjoyed the evening in a youthful formal atmosphere.
