BADMINTON Badminton season is eagerly awaited by the girls every year. Badminton is played indoors and outdoors by qirls. Tournaments are held every Tuesday after school, and many of the girls have really become quite expert. BASKETBALL H271 One of the main activities taking place in the girls' gym during winter and early spring, is the exciting game of basketball. Girls in every gym class form teams and hold tournaments. ln order to win it is necessary that the girls have perfect team work and skill in handling the ball. Q, .1 1 pglrm. ,..,g11- ...X

The girls undertake this activity in full spirit and also have many happy times playing softball. PING PONG The klickity-klack of a ping pong ball echoes through the gym during class, any season of the year. Ping pong is played indoors, and although there is little running around, one needs to be very skillful in placing the ball. REMEDIAL Slumps, slouches and measurements are all corrected in the remedial department of the girls' sport division. Exercises of all sorts are employed in this class. ARCHERY Standing, thinking, drawing, aiming, holding and releasing are the six steps taken before the arrow reaches the target. Archery classes are the most popular in the department, Arch- ery takes place on the activity field in the fresh air, on sunny, dry days. Not only is it health- ful, but the girls enjoy trying to gain high scores on their score cards. Archery is an ancient sport which becomes more and more popular as the years roll by.
