Though athletically in- a terrific zest for writing. clined, she did a fine job of taking over Newt's duties in his absence. Center - Right - Louis Morris, Center - Left - Mabel Lee Secretary. A well-liked boy around Lockett, Treasurer. A very business- the school, with a knack for keeping like individual, with a good head for the minutes in ship-shape order. figures. A succession of brilliant events featured the three year high school career of the February class of l94O. Among the highlights of their many activities was a successful low sophomore class picnic attended by 265 students. Games and an evening dance furnished recreation. The junior Prom during the high junior semester will long be a pleasant memory as one of the most successful dances. A huge dragon with illuminated eyes furnished an excellent background for the annual Senior Ball. George Breece's orchestra played. The central committee which arranged plans for the ball was Newton Wise, president, Frances Wight, vice president, and Dorothy Varrasso. Completing the three years of high school life the officers and class council members were the guests of Miss Constance Greenwood, sponsor, at supper and program in the Y. W. C. A. The enthusiasm and spirit shown by these students are symbolic of the future citizens of tomorrow! Below-Senators: Bob Todd, Betty Dyberg, and Bob johnson. Bob, Betty, and Bob, a happy, handsome three- some who did a good senatorial job!
