Ferguson Capable, energetic, charming First Lady of Sacra- mento Highl Vice-principal Ferguson supervises the counselors, approves all rallies and calendar activities, and compiles the semester class schedules. Her personal interest in all students has rnade her one of the best known and best loved of faculty members. For a sincere leader with a sincere purpose, we present Vice-principal Ferguson. F. Melvyn Lawson The same qualities that make F. Melvyn Lawson our Vice-principal, have made him Sacramento's outstanding young man of l939. Co-author with his wife, Verna Kopka Lawson, of the widely-accepted social studies textbook, Our America, Today and Yesterday, Mr. Lawson finds time out of school halls to lead in current civic and national affairs. GEORGE G. lENSEN A noted exponent of the policy An ounce ot prevention is worth a pound of cure, George G. lensen, our principal, is an active participant in all city and na- tional safety campaigns. His slow, quiet smile may be encountered anywhere-on the campus, in the hall, at various school functions. lt is through Mr. lensen's supervision and sound educational policies that Sacramento High School is given a top-rating position in the nation.
