And the Friends that We make by the Way, what of them! Well, they are the essence of life itself-the Unforgetable gems whose rays of hope go with us to the end of our days. Maybe there are not many that we garner out of the great harvest of the school, but all gems are gems precisely because they are rare. Precious metals lie hidden deep in the earth of the earth. Only the struggles of men bring them to the surface. And so it is with the precious metals of the heart and the mind-Friendships. You have to dig for them and carefully harbor them when you have found them. But they are among the most beautiful of all of life's gems. -THE PR1Nc1PAL.
