1 'E . .-4 O lass istory We, the Class of '21, entered Harkness on the 27th day of Septen ber, 1917. VVe entered under Mr. Dale and are graduating out under Mr. and Mrs. Dale. Our class was the second to enter Harkness, and the first to go out having the greatest number of graduating Seniors, and the largest and Q best Review. VVe were also the first to change the shape of the Review. At the time we entered the great Vllorld 1Var was going on, and our class did much competing in buying Liberty Bonds, XYar Savings and Thrift Stamps. Vile all became members of the Red Cross. From the first our class was a peppy and energetic one, giving many fx 1 ' entertainments with the aid of our Principal, Mr. Dale. I The influenza epidemic made it necessary to discontinue school for many 3 months during our Sophomore year. Wallace Brenner has been our class President for three different years, X A , 5 and his assistance has enabled us to take an active part in everything. Pie K l sales brough us large returns On rag days our class always made a good u ' showing and several members received prizes. The Big S C'rcus conces- ' - f' A , sion, UA Trip Through Heaven, caused much excitement. On November 12th last the Senior dramatists produced the play Miss . 'p Civilization. The auditorium was filled, and everyone enjoyed it. .' I'r' Q l One of the largest and best entertainments that the Senior Class man- J aged was the Hy-Iynkxf' Thishwas to raise money for the Review, so we -' invited the lower classes to participate. The Junior B's received the prize that was offered. ' The last and best of all was the comic opera, 'All at Sea.' It was the first of its kind to be given by the Sacramento High School. It had a cast of 150 persons, including the whole Senior Class. It was tied with Get Rich E Quick VVallingford, as one was a drama and the other a comic opera. , The most prominent men on this year's football and track teams were 1 from the Class of 321, every one the school being proud of. ' VVe regret to leave the red brick building where we enjoyed so many pleasant hours, but as fate has mapped our course, we are going out with r place in our country.
