ADMINISTRATION AND BOARD OF EDUCATION: Kahn Lortscher, Donald Close, Louis Meyer, Ivan Roberts, Bob Popkess, Emmett Green Jr.. President. Bidding farewell to SHS with the seniors of '55, are four teachers: Miss Ball, Miss Stuermer, Mr, Pollock, and Mr, Windrum. Miss Ball, who taught sociology, family living and psychology, was a member of the SHS faculty for five years. Always cheerful and ready to lend a helping hand. Miss Ball will be missed by many. She plans to enroll at KU to study physical therapy. After a brief two years at SHS, Miss Stuermer, vocal music instructor, is Calif- ornia bound. There she plans to teach elementary music. Miss Stuermer is loved by all who have worked with her and greatly appreciated by those who have seen the product of her work. Mr. Pollock, vocational ag. teacher and FFA sponsor is retiring from the teaching profession. Mr. Pollock, affectionately called Harry by his students will be remembered by all for his pride in his department and his numerous blue ribbons. Also retiring from the teaching profess- ion is Mr. Windrum. He plans to become an insurance adjustor. Acting principal for a year, Mr. Windrum also taught Economics, bookkeeping and constitution. A graduate of SHS and Neb. University, Mr. Windrum, with his sparkling personality, made immedi- ate friends with the students and will be miss- ed by those who knew him.
