SPECIAL SERVICES DAVID DE HELM PAUL PROVINCE ROBERT SHARP These men, Mr. Province, Mr. DeHelm, and Mr. Sharp, are three people who are important to the operation of our school dis- trict. As the business administrator, Mr. Province is responsible for purchasing, maintenance, inventory, and budgetary control. Mr. DeHelm, the director of curriculum, is responsible for the development of curriculum studies, a guide for teachers, and a comprehensive test and evaluation program. The director of build- ings and grounds, Mr. Sharp, is responsible for custodial care of the buildings and grounds and for both preventive and permanent maintenance of all the physical properties of the district. JUANITA HUNT RN HAZEL DOBBS RN JOANN GUM Two very important people in the district's organization are the school nurse and the speech correctionist. The school nurse, Mrs. Hunt, plans and carries out a good health program and main- tains a health record for all students. Mrs. Gum, the speech cor- rectionist, is responsible for a program through which she tries to help students with speech impediments. Once a memberof Ruskin's staff, Mrs. Dobbs was forced to re- sign due to illness. We will long remember her quiet efficiency and deep concern for the welfare of the Ruskin student body. 16
