ADMINISTRATORS SPEAK The spirit of Ruskin lies not in the brick, the stone, or the mortar. Rather it can be found in the friendly working relationship among the students and be- tween the students and teachers. I am impressed by that spirit. Superintendent of Schools I am very much impressed with the morale and attitude of the faculty and students of Ruskin High School. You can be justly proud of the privi- lege of being a member of such a fine school. I am sure you will live up to the responsibilities that go along with this privilege. Assistant Superintendent of Schools 7

RUSKIN LEADERS SPEAK Principal A good school is comprised of excel- lent teachers, appropriate buildings, ade- quate equipment, and high caliber stu- dents. These students must possess a sincere desire to improve, a willingness to work, and a high degree of loyalty. You students have lived up to these standards. Without your desire, work, and loyalty, Ruskin would not be the excellent school that it is today. The continued success and bright fu- ture of Ruskin High School rests entire- ly upon the shoulders of you students. May your efforts never falter and your loyalty never cease so that Ruskin High School continues to be the best. f. The greatest good in any school year cannot be measured in dollars, or loving cups, or championships, or similar ma- terial standards; it can be measured only by that intangible yet vital force - school spirit. School spirit? It cannot be defined in so many words, but it conveys a multi- tude of thoughts. The respect and sin- cerity with which you sing your school song; your pep at a game, and your at- tention during an assembly; the courtesy you show your teachers and guests; the enthusiasm and boundless energy with which you enter into each new acitivity - all of these are but phases of that loyalty which is your gift to Ruskin High School. Assistant Principal
