Ovtr 21 hlmdfed Junior and Seniors and their inests found their places at quartctte tables as they took an Ocean Voy age to the Orient at the annual Junior be nior banquet and Prom Wednesday evening at the Auditorium The theme of the decorations was elaborately accented everywhere in the room An oriental Ie ahonse over which shone an August moon highlighted ont end ofthe auditorium while 1 Jwpinese hut at the other end served is 1 shelter fc r the punch table Many Cherry trcts bloolned about the room and the stigt took on the appearance of an ocean liner Over all was 1 tshirt sky with oold stirs From it hung Jtpanese lanterns andtinkling glass wind chimes The whole atmos way and the tail of a wrecked airplane supposedly left by the Oc cupation Forces Waiters and waitresses chosen from the Sophomore class shuffled about in true Japanese fashion wearing kirnonas of the country They were B11lGott1er Ken Linders lhle Lehman Grant Strong Dennis Wasserburger Ted Jensen LehMCDan1e1S John Hills Janice Johnson Carolyn Mendenhall Marilyn Reed Marcelle Denton Shirley Raed Connie Hollsteln Cirolvn Ke arns and Janice McCloud Miss Joyce lehman presrd utr I the Junior Class acted as toast mistress She welcomed the Seniors and Don NlcComber r sponded for his class Other short talks were made by Krren lligvs C arolyn Davis Ellen Voss and Joyce Tiensvold Superintendent W S Skelton was presented a gift from the class by Enid Amende lNlarJorie Wasserburger Junior Class sponsor and guiding hand in ban quet arrangements was also presented a gift from the class. Miss Helen Trennepohl made the presentation. The Dan Harrison orchestra of Denver provided the music for the Prom which follewed the ba iquet. We the SeniorClass, wish ttfexpress our d' 'p appreciation for the Prom given by' the IuniorClass. lou have made this something that will long be remembered when the other events of High School Days are forgotten.
