CLASS HISTORY Once upon a time, twelve long years ago Mrs. Brinson was greeted by 13 very intelligent faces belonging to the graduating class of 48 . The people behind those faces were Dick Brown, Rosemary Lane, Claude Huffer, George Irvin, Leonard Hickey, Mary Rose Clevenger, Jack Riggin, Jim Riggin, Willis Hunnicutt, Carl O'Dell, Don Scott, Don Kennedy, George Smith. The second grade was taught by Miss Bell. We were joined by Bonnie Deaton from Washington and Arden Miller from Garfield. Our third grade was divided into two groups, it was taught by Mrs. Quick and Miss Whisman. This year we were joined by: Joanne Wesley from McKinley, John Harty from Selma, Bob Tudor from Gaston, Weldon Yoder from North Grove, Bob Buchanan from Selma: and John Mansfield from Burris. Jerry Branson came from Longfellow in the fourth grade. The teachers were Mrs. Post, East building and Miss Brooks the West building. Poor Miss Richardson and Mrs. Fredericks, by the time we reached the fifth grade we had very definite ideas on life. Our bulletin board was decorated with love notes. Our new people, Gordon Morrison from Cloverdale, Carol Riess from Jefferson, Barbara Ray from Eaton, Bob Parsons from Da1eville.' Mrs. Brinson thought she had gotten rid of us, but we were back. Mrs. Briner taught the other sixth grade. New members: Betty Robertson and Bob Foltz came from Selma, Walter Anderson from McKinley, Herbie Snider from Eaton, Vernon Eiler from Jefferson. Seventh Grade. We finally got in the big assembly. Mrs. Brinson got promoted with us. Cyrus Paul joined us from Jefferson. We won our Jr. High tourney in the 8th grade. Mrs. Brinson was our sponsor. By now we were old Freshmen. Nancy Lord and Rex M.organ joined us from Hartford City. George Smith and Cyrus Paul are back with us. Norma Emenhiser came from Wilson. Miss Atkinson was our sponsor. We got our class sweaters in our Sophomore year. We gave a skating party this year. Jim Fyfe joined us from Terre Haute. Mr. Brinkley was our sponsor. We gave a Carnival and the play Small Town Romeo in our Junior year. Our sponsors were Mr. Bixler and Miss Abraham. We bought our class rings. New stu- dents were Norma Osborne and Jane Crusius from Central. After twelve years we have finally reached the Senior row in the assembly. Our sponsors are again Miss Abraham and Mr. Bixler. We took our Senior trip to New York City and Washington D. C. and gave our Senior Play A Date with Judy . We also put out the school paper the Royerton Review and the Panorama . Our two new students are Sue Carol Muster from Center and Don Kennedy from Central.
