SPEAKERS SPEAK O T Members of Forensics compete at local, district, regional, and state levels. They may enter in interpreta- tive prose or poetry, four minute speaking, original oratory, signifi- cant speeches, memorized declama- tion, and public address. In the fall we at Royall were very proud to have our one-act play, A Thing of Beau- ty, go to the state contest. DEDICATED DEBATERS This year the topic for the Debate Club is, Resolve: that the jury sys- tem in the United States should be significantly changed. Since the club is so small, they decided to de- bate among themselves instead of competing with other schools. Con- trary to some people's beliefs, debat- ing is not simply arguing. It is, in- stead, doing research to find evi- dence to support your opinions and being able to express them, ROW l: Miss Krohn, G, Clausier, B. Collins, J. Kouba. ROW 2: Mr. Kammerud, K.
