E'D LIKE T0 TEACH THE ORLD TO SING Chorus is a big word here at Royall. There are 84 students who are involved in the vocal music department. Sophmores, Juniors, and Seniors make up the A Cappella Choir. They gave four concerts during the year: the pops concert, the Christmas concert, Handel's Messiah, and the Spring concert. They sing as a Class A chorus at the annual Spring Festival. The J.V. Singers are Freshmen. They also take part in the pops concert, the Christmas concert, and the Spring concert. Royallettes is a select group of girls. Each of the singers is a member of her class triple trio. A new addition to the vocal department this year is the Swing Choir. These 22 students sing popular music, and are often accompanied by drums, guitar, and piano. ACAPELLA ROW 1: V. Anderson, S. Brey, K. Preuss, G. Sanderson, S. Miller, D. Zirk, B. Collins, G. When band is mentioned, we generally think of the concert band. The Royall High School Band is not only a concert band, but much more. We have a first-rate marching band. They gave a pre-game show and a half- time show for all of our home football games. The Royall Band marches for var- ious contests and celebrations. At the Vi- roqua Horse and Colt Show, they compet- ed with ten other bands and won first prize. The Pep Club plays at all home basket- ball games and everyone seems to enjoy the contemporary numbers they render. The band will play as a Class A concert and marching band at the Spring Festival, which will be held in New Lisbon. Twenty-five or six to four Zenner, S. Thayer, J. Kouba, P. Madden, D. Rego, S.
