Each of us is saddened by the news of the loss of our good friend. Ward Keator. Each of us knew him in a different capacity- as our bus driver, co-worker; students - as the friendly companion who took every sixth grade to Pennsylvania; and parents - as the man who worked extra hard to keep our buses safe, because of his genuine concern for the children riding on them. Ward was universally popular with students, staff, and parents - respected for his friendli- ness, concern for others, wonderful attitude and outlook on life, and his work-ethic was one that everyone admired. Whatever the circumstances. Ward met the situation with enthusiasm and a positive attitude that could not help but affect those he was with. And so, we honor his memory, a memory that each of us carries inscribed in our mind, a memory in which Ward still lives as a man who a life worthy lived of respect-bringing honor and dignity to every situation he entered. Ward Keator was a special person indeed. He left his mark upon us and we shall all miss him and the prominent place he played in our lives and in the life of the Roxbury Central School. He was a man who touched our lives and left us better for the association.
