PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE Nothing is an empty as lives filled with consuming loneliness and gnawing regrets about what might have been. 1 he poetry and songs of centuries echo in many ways the human calamity of unfilled hopes and smashed dreams. No such despair characterizes the Class of 1983. Your class, recognized from the beginning that high school is, in a sense, the last stop of your youth, and your experiences at R.C.S. seem to overflow with friendship, respect, and unforgettable memories of good school experiences. You have respected each other; you have found and cemented lasting relationships, above all, you have enjoyed yourself, blending academic seriousness with extra-curricular success. You have contributed and shared in the great accomplishments of the 1982-83 school year, the State Soc- cer C hampionship, Sectional Championship Teams, WGY Answer Please Championship, Regents Scholar- ship Winners, Band and Chorus Awards and your remarkable record for participating in the life of the school and making a difference by your greatest accomplishment of all — setting a positive example for the student body to follow. Fondly and with best wishes always, Robert F. Prout Superintendent of Schools
