ttgKr. ) v XM tfA • W A jWSr;.,• ■¥••• i •': - - ••■' .. . jr-- - • .. 'Bt f i r i• • 51 ■ . SF Sifr • - THE 1973 RECORD Dedication Mr. MacConnell, a graduate of East Stroudsburg State. Pennsylvania, came to Roxbury Central in September of 1966 as a sixth grade teacher. To his good fortune and ours, the class of '73 was Mr. Mac's first group at Roxbury. Mr. MacConnell became so impressed with the stature of RCS and the sixth grade, that he organized a grades 5 and 6 basketball team. His rapport with these youngsters and their willingness to learn spurred Mr. Mac to search for further glory - two years later he became JV coach. Mr. MacConnell is an avid sports fan, and his favorite sport is golf. FORE !!! For these and many other reasons, The Class of 1973 is happy to dedicate this yearbook to a well- deserving teacher, Mr. Robert MacConnell. jp - PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE Today's America is indeed an exciting place in which to live. Never before has change taken place so rapidly as in the period of your formal education. The dreams of yesterday are now realities, and we must be prepared to meet the challenges of the future both mentally and physically. You have demonstrated the ability to clearly recognize and accept responsibility for appraising the implications of change and to bring the results into line with the evolving purposes of society. You can look forward to a future that will bring many changes and from past performance accept the responsibility for helping to shape the future. In the poem Today” by Waterman, we find the lines, We shall do much in the years to come, but what have we done today. I firmly believe this yearbook is another proof of a senior accomplishment that confirms our belief in the Class of 1973. Best wishes to a fine class.
