EDITORIAL CLASS MOTTO: 'Your future lies before you like a sheet of drifting snow, Be careful how you tread it, for every mark will show.' We, the Seniors of 1950, are standing before the door to a new and different life. Before us are the problems that face every Senior as he steps through that door. We must face these problems as they come, one by one, and not let failure discourage us. we must begin to think for ourselves. We shall have to remember to dress warmly before we go out, because no one will remind us. Yes, now we are really on our own, Mother won't be there to carry our burdens for us. As we open the door that stands before us, a blast of piercing wind strikes us directly in the face. Will we stumble and turn back to the door? But that would be useless-because the door is closed and won't open on this side. We must face the storm and be sure to keep our heads high, be- cause down this big street are many one-way streets. It might be easier to take one of these side streets because the storm is shut out by the dark walls around you. These small streets represent the slums of every city and town. Here are the men who have no courage, pride, or Nget-up and go.' They are in a rut and will be forgotten. May all of our class continue down Main Street and face the blizzard, even though it may sting our faces. Some who have already reached the top may criticize every move we make. In our Journey down Main Street we shall encounter a hill. We shall be tired, but when we reach the top we will have attained success.
