Rhonda Hollingshed Orle Holmes Croig Hone Wendy Hoxie Suzerre Hudson Holimc HussQin Roberro Izobol Horses ploy o major parr in the life of Gary Ferguson, o member of rhe Class of ' 83 or Rowland High School I love horses, he srored, and ride every day This love of horses has proven ro be o very profiroble endeavor for Gory, as he now runs his ownt)usiness which is rroining Quorrer horses for orher people Gory has been inreresred in horses as long as he can remember and has been training horses since he was rwelve years old He currently owns six registered Quarter horses, but has no plans ro obtain more I love to rase horses, but I lose money if I try to raise and train my own horses Because of rhis I now only raise and train horses for other people He charges people a set fee for rhe rroining, bur requires rhot they olso pay all other expenses incurred while the horses ore in his keep. The training fee alone con be as high as $400 , depending on rhe condition of the horse The money he has eorned has enabled him ro purchase all of equipment he needs to train and tronsporr the horses He now is able ro bonk part of the money which he plans on using to furrher his educorion Because of Gary ' s demanding schedule, he hos often hod ro work school oround his job Mr Hansen mode out a schedule for him that enables him to ride every day Gory must often miss several doys of school in order ro attend horse shows rhor toke place oil over California The forrheresr he hos gone to show horses was to rhe Arizona Srote Fair Because of these performances, he is often scrambling ro make up rhe schoolwork he misses. Throughout all of this he has monoged ro moinroin o D average Gary ' s family has always been exrremely Imporronr ro him ond extremely supporrive of his endeavors Prior to obtaining his own equipment, his fofher sow ro it rhor he got everywhere he hod to and hod everything he needed to perform While rhis depen doncy has ended, his family Is srill ocrively inreresred In all rhot he does and closely follows his progress Gary also has o lirtle sister rhor is a special child She is currenrly orrending a special school, bur srill requires hours of ourside help Whenever Gory has any exrro rime he spends ir working with her When osked what other inreresrs he has.
