Connie was born and lived in Monrebello for rwelve years prior ro moving ro Rowlond Heighrs She is rhe eldesr of rhree children. She has a sisrer in rhe 7rh grade and a brorher in rhe 5rh grade. Because borh of her porenrs work, she Is required ro do her shore of rhe chores around rhe house These are usually performed on rhe weekend as her weeks ore busy. While in junior high Connie dreamed of becoming o cheer- leader in high school. She began her pep career in rhe drill ream or Rincon and became drill ream coproin when she was in rhe eighrh grade This all changed, however, when she wos oppoinred Member-or-Lorge during her Sophmore year or Rowland High School Once Connie became o member of rhe Srudenr Council, she was hooked She srored; Srudenr Council was much more inreresring rhon pep Afrer her oppoinrmenr ro Member-or- Lorge in rhe 10rh grade, she ron for Member-or-Lorge os a junior and won. Ar rhe end of her junior yeor she decided she would like ro be presidenr of rhe ASD She won by o landslide and has proven ro be oursronding as a leader Connie hos worked hard ro moke rhe ASD on orgonizorion rhor fairly represenrs oil srudenrs. To do rhis she has arrempred ro morivore more people ro school ocriviries and ro improve rhe communicorion berween srudenrs and foculry. The council has provided a good calender for rhe srudenrs and has sup- porred and used rhe school newspoper as o means of commu- nicorion.
