He also played on rhe foorball reom and wresried while in school. Vicror groduored in June 1981. His deorh was rhe resuir of on ouromobile occi- denr on Fullerron Rood during rhe summer of 1982. MICHAEL DUCKWORTH wos o sophomore or Rowland in 1981 when he fell while hiking in rhe mounroins. He greorly enjoyed rhe ourdoors ond ofren ployed rennis wirh his friends or wear ' ' bike riding around Rowland Heighrs. His reochers described him as pleosonr person ro hove in doss. STEVE MAJORS enrered Rowlond OS o freshman in rhe fall of 1981, bur was only able ro orrend Rowland for o few shorr monrhs. In December, cancer mode ir impossible for him ro conrlnue in school. He died of rhe disease during rhe summer of 1982. Sreve was o pleosonr boy who loved ro ploy soccer. He hod hopes of being able ro ploy on rhe Rowland soccer reom or some rime.
