During 2nd and 7th periods students ore able to make use of rhe computers for their own personal use, while working under rhe direcrion of Mr. Sokolis, the INTO THE WORLD OF COMPUTERS on-campus computer whiz During the other periods of the day, Mrs Christiansen, o teacher in the Reading Deporrmenr, uses the nine compurers in her reading progrom Because of rhe limited omounrs of compurers, rhe students musr use them on a roraring basis In rhe program the students use them for reinforcement and drill in various reading areas in which they need help, A benefit to the student is the ability to receive individual insrrucrion and instont feedback on answers The compurers hove proven to be a grear success ond highly motivating ro rhe srudenrs who hove used rhem commented Mrs Chnsrionsen The orher deporrmenr on campus who uses compurers is rhe Science Deporrmenr. which is on irs rhird year of computer use. Under the direcrion of Mr Sokolis, students in chemistry and physics leorn ro gorher and store informarion, wirh some rime spenr on drill ond procrice in the various uses of rhe machine, Mr Sokolis is o grear odvocote of computers in education.
