HOMECOMING The Rowland Raiders held their fifteenth annual Homecoming activities this year. The events began with the Homecoming assembly, where the court was introduced, the balloting which took place during lunchtime, and culminated with float competition, introduction of last year ' s queen and the announcement of this year ' s queen. The float competition was keen this year. The Class of 1982 won the sweepstakes award, while the Class of 1981 took 2nd place. The Homecoming court, after being chauffeured around the track in Corvettes, were met by their fathers and escorted down the red carpet to the platform where they were joined by last year ' s queen, Tomi Sollozzo, and her escort, Dennis Hubert. The excitement was felt by all when Mr. Aney announced Sabrina Murphy as First Princess and Dianna Carroll Homecoming Queen. The Homecoming dance was held after the game with the music being provided by Windfield Summit. 1 . Old and new Pepsters carry on the tradition of riding on ttie fire engine at Homecoming. 2. The Sophomores take- Sweepstakes on their float. 3. Joy Arnold and father congradulate the 1980 Homecoming Queen Dianna Carroll while Mr. Aney watches. 4. Theresa Childress. Sabrlna Murphy, Celeste Victoria and their fathers anticipate the big moment. 5. Dennis Hubert escorts the 1979 Homecoming Queen Tomi Sollazo on her last walk. 6. Dianna Carroll, Joy Arnold. Becky Quiros and their fathers wait impatiently for the announcement. 7. The largest run- through sign in Rowland ' s history. 8. Jr. Class float shows real spirit by placing second.
