DANCES A variety of bands on campus this year injected a glow into the dances. The year began with PAS, who provided the mellow sounds for the Welcome Dance. Lunchtime bands proved to be very popular. Students listened and the brave dances to the noise of PREZENCE, CENTAUR, RELEASE, and AFTERSHOCK. Homecoming activities needed the exciting sounds of two bands While NOBODYS CHILDREN crooned for the assembly WINDFIELD SUMMIT rocked the gym at the Homecoming Dance. And that was just the beginning. The awesome sound of SEAGULL mesmerized the audience at the Winter King Queen Dance, and LONG SHOT proved to be so groovy they were invited to the Winter Formal. To round out a melodic experience, the power of SURGE assaulted the ears at the F.M.O.C. Dance. FAR OUTiii 1 Dick Sparkle, alias Marty Sriields, and the Sparkettes, alias. Brian Deters, Paul Crowshaw, and Steve Dunn. Rowland alumni, help to get students rockin ' during 50 ' s Week 2 James Grosse and Kathy Rizzo really close- dance 3 The guitar player from Centaur in action 4 The lead singer and guitarist of Seagull try their wings 5 Ray Ybarra and Bobbi Deitz do the light fantastic 6 Hostess Barbara Espmoza chats with Diane Olson and her date at the Winter Formal 7 Release puts charge into the everydoy hum-drum campus lunches
