SMALL TOWN, U.S.A. The waning light of dusk is losing its bottle to night os groups of oldst- ers and youngsters appear carrying blankets and folding choirs. There is excitement in the air and a sense of relief that the threaten- ing rain has held off. Groups chat quietly, and impatient children won- der when the FIR€UJORKS will start. Then in a brilliant shower, the town of Rossville ended its annual three day event - The Summer's Cnd Festival. This festive occasion included o teen donee, complete with the crowning of a King and Queen, carry-in picnics, and a 10K run. Another favorite event is a parade, which this year hod over 150 entries. Finally, there was the yearly presentation of the Prime Time Players, who hod spent weeks practicing for the show. Highlights in- cluded Stoyin Alive, visitations to Abbot and Costello, and Shakes- pearean spoof. But the spectacular culmination of the evening was the oil American display of Fireworks.
