We remember tense moments of studying for tests and the suspense of waiting for the results. We remember learning to know and like our classmates and teachers and more important learning to like ourselves. We remember changing from the old cherished building to the very new and modern high school in our iunior year. We remember the honor study halls which were originated by Student Council in our senior year. We will always remember the wonderful people at Ross Senior High who worked with us and for us to help us attain our goal-graduation. X Q f . 1 fb . S ecretary-Treasurer 1 r lvfnniin Combined concerts with the Cleveland Heights Band in February, and the Ohio State University Band in March were the highlights of the Ross Band this year. Playing with these bands was a great privilege and thrill to the directors and the members. The band also participated in the district and state contests. Besides all this, they also presented concerts forthe student bodyg and in the spring they presented a concert with the A Cappella Choir. Also, during the fall the band spent many hours on the football field preparing their unusual routines forthe fans. This year the Ross High Dance Band consisting of thirteen members was reactivated. They have played and will play in the future for dances spon- sored by school and other local organizations. iFLUTES Phyllis Murphy Jane Shilling Judy Chestn utwood Martha Tooley Sheron Keiser Laura Lindsay Pat Messenger OBOE Joanne Fitzgerald CLARINETS Leah Stierwalt Jack Hepner Judy Gahn David Hepner Sally Whittaker Judy Hague Bette Behrens Kenneth Dunes Suzie Somers Martha Willey Yvonne Linder Bunny Steiger Connie Hetrick ' Nanette Mann Nancy Payne Marlene Stewart Kathy Schow SAXOPHONES Larry Findley Carol Pence Steve Hawk John Freeman BASSOONS Kathy Genzman Mary Lynne Rafferty ALTO CLARINETS Marie King Dianne Hopkins BASS CLARINETS Diana Voss Gary Bowling FRENCH HORNS Judy Linder Frances Cockrell Betsy Fangboner Judy Wilson Marcia Mathews Charles Fink DIRECTORS CORNETS Jon Hower Loren Nickel Joe Smith Jeffrey First Bob Hawk Judy Wickert Ants Leetmaa Jim Ziebold Madaline Tucker Tom Johnson Dennis Mason Scott Norris Karen Buehler Martha Charles' Jean Wanstall Victor Dunes TROMBONES Dennis Gruver David Zimmerman Larry Ripple' Dennis Schatt Jim Cox Gordon Hart Bob Brown Fred Joseph Ronald Burel Mr. Walter Sells, Mr. Jack Stierwalt Phil Kadlubowskl Cathy Berger BARITONES Dick Fuller Tom Stierwalt Tim Lull Charles Aldrich BASSES Kent Hoke David Parker Larry Hetrick Geraland Fritz Dick Newman Joe Scranton PERCUSSION Gary Lance Richard Landis Tom Swartz Brad Holland Sheila Mason Linda Tucker Barbara Roberts Douglas Velliquette Not Pictured , , ,, Y, ,,, ...1 - Row One: Karl Kooistra, Nancy Dorr, Luella Stotz, Sharon Naftz, Carla Mathias, Pat Rosenberger, Alma Doria, Trudy Cochey, Edith Wood. During football season they chartered busses to out-of-town games for the students and held a bon tire rally. The group took many interesting and fun-filled field trips to such places as Cleveland, Columbus, and of course, the Lake Erie boat trip. Some of the more prominent members entered proiects in the County Science Day Contest. Other, not soon forgotten, activities of this club, were the Caterpillar Crawl, and the Christmas party.
