Since the enrollment at Roseville had increased very rapidly, we were attending school for half days only, and we did not organize our class until our junior year. Then Mr. Jackson was chosen the class sponsor. Mickey Nardin was president, John Baughman, vice president, Janet Clark, treasurerg and Thelma Haller, secretary. The first activity in the autumn was 'Stardust Ball which took place the night of homecoming. The Junior play, Books and Crooks, was presented in the spring, and this was followed by a final dance for the year. Our senior year was the big year! John Baughman was presi- dent, Rodney Zoellner, vice president, Carol Coonfer, secretaryg and Barbara Klenk, treasurer. Mr. Roy Severson and Mr. Al Daas were co-sponsors. Early in the autumn our first dance took place at the high school gym. lt was a gala affair and was named Platter Party. Under the direction of Mr. Al Daas, the senior class presented 'LA Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court. This play was a very colorful one and was a financial success. During the winter we frolicked at a party at the Wellington School gym, where we enjoyed games and refreshments. In the spring we enjoyed ourselves at another dance, March Magic,', where we rocked and rolled to the rhythms of Ted Kel- ler's Band. The banquet at the Fort Shelby Hotel all but swept us off our feet. Everyone was on his best behavior. The boys in their sartorial elegance and the girls in their colorful dresses made a picture long to be treasured in our memories. The last splurge of the year was the senior trip via the S.S. South American to Georgian Bay and the Soo Locks. Good food, dancing, entertainment of various kinds, mingling with seniors from other suburbs and touring places of historical interest made this trip an experience long to be remembered. Thus we finished four years of many happy experiences at Rose- ville High School.
