senior class history In September of ' 50 our High life began. For President, I. Hale successfully ran, B. Wagner, J. Kriewall, D. Schneider became, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer by name. In this our first year we got the right stride, With one social party and a lively hayride. As Sophomore President, C. Lawrence led the way, With DeNardo, Schemanski, Humrich elected the same day Our party at the Rec was a social highlight, And proved to the rest we could do things just right. Then thoroughly versed in Sophomore ways, We eagerly awaited our Junior days. D. Schalk as our President rated a big cheer, With officers P. Nunn, J. Dwyer, and A. Gordinier. Our dances Harvest Hop and Spring Serenade, Showed that our plans were most carefully made. Miss Leonard directed Miss Jimmy , our play, Increasing our skill in a drmatic way. We looked and looked Ct'was most confusingj, Before we found the right ring for our choosing. To the Seniors, at the Star Ballroom, we were the host, Frilly dresses, soft music to which we lent an ear, Marked a successful prom and completed the year. Hurrah for the day, we were Seniors at last, But somehow the year was going too fast. B. Seiger was President of this important year, With R. Walquist, S. Cattel, and B. Truman always near. As sponsors, Mrs. Coates and Mr. Wilson were great, They had much to do with determining our fate. To keep our bank account from getting too thin, We gave our first dance the Peppermint Spin. In a final whirl we rushed around town, Getting pictures, announcements and then - cap and gown. Then Graduation that long awaited day, We almost wished that we could stay. With this, our life at R.H.S. folds, But no one knows what the future holds. Jen Dwyer . 26 -
