Each year the Senior Class dedicates their yearbook to a member of the faculty who has helped the class during their years at Roseville High School. This year the Senior Class of 1954 dedicates the Tower to Miss Koshey. We feel she has given up much of her time, and her efforts have helped to make our 1954 Tower a success. .2- administration and faculty board of education -v-4 fs-nf' Standing left to right: Donald O. Although our academic work may have suffered because of a lack of study halls due to half- day sessions a large amount of outstanding work has been done. You have gained honors in essay contests. Your athletic teams have established fine records in the number of choice victories they have won. Your musical organizations such as the band and the choir have brought renown to our school. Your different class organizations have operated in an efficient manner. The yearbook you are reading is a sample of that efficiency. The bright part of this whole picture is that it was done because you wanted to do it.. For you it has meant remaining at school long after your classmates had gone. Because of this Ifeel Harold C. To prepare for her career, she now has a job doing bookkeeping and typing. .24. wereg the Home Economics Club, the choir, and the senior play. She showed her leadership ability as class Vice President in her Sophomore Year and Treasurer in her Senior Year. Betty plans to further her Business Career by attending Highland Park Junior College for more training. as 5 senior class history In September of ' 50 our High life began. For President, I. Hale successfully ran, B. Wagner, J. Kriewall, D. Schneider became, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer by name. In this our first year we got the right stride, With one social party and a lively hayride. As Sophomore President, C. Lawrence led the way, With DeNardo, Schemanski, Humrich elected the same day Our party at the Rec was a social highlight, And proved to the rest we could do things just right. Then thoroughly versed in Sophomore ways, We eagerly awaited our Junior days. D. Schalk as our President rated a big cheer, With officers P. Nunn, J. Dwyer, and A. Gordinier. Our dances Harvest Hop and Spring Serenade, Showed that our plans were most carefully made. Miss Leonard directed Miss Jimmy , our play, Increasing our skill in a drmatic way. We looked and looked Ct'was most confusingj, Before we found the right ring for our choosing. To the Seniors, at the Star Ballroom, we were the host, Frilly dresses, soft music to which we lent an ear, Marked a successful prom and completed the year. Hurrah for the day, we were Seniors at last, But somehow the year was going too fast. B. Seiger was President of this important year, With R. Walquist, S. Cattel, and B. Truman always near. As sponsors, Mrs. Coates and Mr. Wilson were great, They had much to do with determining our fate. To keep our bank account from getting too thin, We gave our first dance the Peppermint Spin. In a final whirl we rushed around town, Getting pictures, announcements and then - cap and gown. Then Graduation that long awaited day, We almost wished that we could stay. With this, our life at R.H.S. folds, But no one knows what the future holds. Jen Dwyer . 26 - ir'- V 50 i Www MN XJ my 5. 5 K, V P4' H 3,1 , Bliss? J-Q .fry-:E V Lu iz classes uniors gig. It's difficult to picture! Electric power serves so faithfully we just take it for granted. Edison's incandescent lamp, heralding the birth of modern electric service, finally became more than a dream 75 years ago. To help turn this dream into reality, other men provided the finances Edison needed. Their joint achievement is an example of how financial risk-taking and individual ingenuity combine to the benefit of all people. But our present way of living is only the beginning. Electricity promises for the future still greater marvels and better service. It requires men and women with many skills to provide this service. If you would like to work with such people why not get in touch with Edison's Employment Office? beginning THE DETROIT EDISON CCMPANY 2000 Second Avenue, Detroit 26, Michigan advertisements 0l'lgl'atll,!Cltl0I'l.4 1107 CROOKS ROAD ROYAL OAK LI. 3-4480 EACH STEP IN LIFE IS JUST A LITTLE MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE LAST ONE.
