There are many happy memories and also a few sad, as each of us look back over the year. The end of the year approaching, the Seniors are looking forward to graduation, perhaps a little sad as they remember some of the enjoyable moments of their high school days. This book is filled with a mere part of those wonderful mem¬ ories. Memories are truly valuable when they remind us of our high school days. We the Rosette Staff for I960 hope that the memories you receive as you glance through this book are happy ones. i We, the members of the Rosette Staff of I960, wish to dedicate this yearbook to Mr. Bill Curl to show our appreciation for all the ways he has helped the students of Roseville High School to become citizens of tomorrow. 11 During his twelve years he has shown us much devotion and we wish to show our thanks for his great service and devotion. Thank you, Mr. Curl. 3 ROW ONE: Left To Right; Mary Lou Crouse, Rita Bargar, Sue Ford, Bob Dozer, Rex Percelle, Karen Reid, Christy Jaynes, Jackie Clayton, Darlene Fluhart, Odette Folden. There are many other honors which Nancy received, too. She was the first student of Roseville High School ever to enter National Contests, but without the aid of Mrs. Madge Patterson all of this would not have been made possible. We wish to make this special tribute to both Nancy and Mrs. Patterson. Dorothy won the title of Future Homemaker of Tomorrow in Roseville High School. All the girls in the Senior Class were eligible to take the test. Dorothy is President of F.H.A. and has been an active member of the F.H.A. for the past four years. They took their school into the District finals which has never occurred in any sport before this time. They went into the tournaments with only one defeat, which was a practice game with Philo. The first tourna¬ ment game was at Maysville, which Roseville won 5-1 with Junior Anders being the winning pitcher. This win took them to Philo to play Adamsville, winning this game 10-3 with the pitching of Gary Smith. They were ready for the County Finals with Frazeysburg. This game had to be postponed, thus, letting both teams go on to the Sectional Tournaments. Chesterhill was the victim of the Ramblers in the sectionals, 4-1, with Junior Anders pitching. This brought them more glory. A chance in the District tournaments. The first in Roseville ' s school history. They defeated Newport 4-2 in the first game with Junior Ander ' s sharp pitching. They were now to meet Powhattan Point in the District Finals. In this game Roseville was defeated 8-0, which made them runners-up in the District Tournament. Finally, they defeated Frazeysburg in the postponed County Finals, to win the Muskingum County Champion¬ ship. All this was made possible with the good coaching of J. A. Dantonio, head coach; James Ballantine, assistant coach; and Dean White, who was always there to help. The team consisted of two seniors, ten sophomores, and two freshmen. So we hope to have as good, or better, a team in 1960 as we had in 1959. 67 -■ BILL ANDERS Catcher Senior BILL BARKER Left Field Sophomore GARY SMITH Pitcher Senior BOB DOZER Shortstop Sophomore CHARLES WILLIAMSON Right Field Sophomore LYNN CRANE First Base Sophomore pr - § ,, ' i § , I Hm ' M m I DAVE YEAGER Second Base Sophomore MILES PAYTON Center Field Sophomore BOB SNYDER Third Base Sophomore 68 Coach Dantonio and Coach Ballantine PAUL WILLIAMS Right Field Sophomore PAUL BRYAN Center Field Sophomore RICK WILSON First Base Freshman WAYNE SAVAGE Manager Freshman JOHN DAWSON Pitcher Freshman JUNIOR ANDERS Pitcher Sophomore 69 I Queen, Brenda Wilson, wearing a cedar brown tweed suit with cedar brown accessories, arrived at the half¬ time festivities in a 1959 white Pontiac, driven by Regis Stuck.
