CROP AND SADDLE Crop and Saddle was organized by Mrs. Adams for the purpose of encouraging horseback riding as another of the activities made possible to R.J.U.H.S. girls. The club has been turned into a social club until after the war, and its principal activity this year was assisting Par- thena in sponsoring the Reverse dance. Some riding is still carried on by girls who have their TUMBLING This group was organized in 1932 for girls interested in gymnastics and tumbling. Each year they present a program for Girls' Hi jinks and the Girls' League Show. COMMERCIAL ACES This group, whose name was changed from 60-40 to Commercial Aces, was organized in 1937 for students interested in Commercial work. Any student who has completed twenty units of commercial work is eligible for membership. A dance is sponsored by this group each spring, and skating parties have become a popular form of diversion for the group. Their present advisor is Miss Ottilie Miller. ARCHERY CLUB Archery Club was founded in 1940-41 for girls and boys interested in archery as a form of extra curricular activity. The group has been inactive for some time but renewed activity will begin when equipment is available.

THE CHORAL GROUPS The A Cappella Choir, a mixed, extra-curricular group. is designed as an inspirativc medium for organ- i7ed musical expression in the service of school and community while offering a recreational and social outlet in school life, It was organized by Miss Vera Boyd during 1936-375 Mr. Gale has been the director since 1938-39. Rehearsals are held on an average of from once to twice a week. The Choir's male section devotes special time to rehearsing as the Boys' Glee Club, the boys of the Glue class are included in its performances. The Girls' Glee Club is composed of thc girls of the Glee class. These choral groups perform either as individual organizations or as a single unit. Their school projects for this year consisted of participation in seasonal or special assemblies, Baccalaureate, and Commencement: and the presentation of their seventh Animal Spring Concert. Their community activities included singing at Roscvillc's lfastcr Sunrise Service.
