Homecoming at Rosemead High School brings fun for students. enjoyment for fac- ulty and excitement and anticipation for the nominated princesses. The week com- menced on Monday when students walked into school to find banners and streamers lining the halls. Clubs on campus de- signed all the posters to decorate the school. Noontime activities included Best in Bed , an obstacle course, a life- saver pass, tricycle race. egg drop. and a pep rally on Friday to complete the week's events. Friends could send each other homecoming grams to brighten their spir- its. Then on Friday night, the Panthers came out to play the El Monte Lions and emerged victorious with a score of 8-7. At half time, the Homecoming queen was an- nounced and Miss Martha Espinoza was crowned by former I984 queen Cindy Young. The floats created by each gradu- ating class paraded by with the freshman float representing America and the Statue of Liberty winning first prize. Fireworks ended the halftime activities as the queen and her court were seated on the field to watch the remainder of the game. Follow- ing the game was the annual Homecoming dance which showed a good turnout from students and alumni. l. Rosemead students show their pride. 2.
